Account & Data Deletion

GatherBiz Pte. Ltd. empowers users with full ownership and autonomy over their personal data. In compliance with Google Play User Data Policies (Account Deletion Requirement) and Apple App Store Review Guideline 5.1.1(v), users can request the permanent deletion of their account and associated data at any time.

How to Delete Your Account

Option 1: If You Have the App Installed (Instant Deletion)

If you currently have GatherBiz installed on your device, you can delete your account immediately:

  1. Open the GatherBiz app.
  2. Tap the Settings tab on the bottom or side navigation bar.
  3. Scroll down to the Danger Zone card.
  4. Tap Delete Account, enter your password, and confirm.

Your authentication credentials, friendships, personal trips, and files are permanently purged from live databases immediately.

Option 2: If You Have Uninstalled the App (Web Request)

If you have uninstalled the app, lost your device, or cannot log in, you do not need to reinstall the app. You can submit a deletion request directly to our engineering team:

Please ensure you include your registered international phone number (e.g., +65XXXXXXXX) so our support team can verify account ownership before purging records. Deletion requests are processed within 30 calendar days.

Data Categories Purged Upon Deletion

Data Category Specific Data Purged
Authentication Credentials Registered phone number, hashed password, Supabase auth identity, session tokens.
Profile Information Display name, username handle, profile avatar photo.
Social Graph All friendships, pending friend requests, group memberships, and user blocking rules.
Personal Mini-App Data All personal trips (GungHo), places, itineraries, tasks, notes (WeDo), custom tags, and categories.
Media & File Attachments Trip photos (trip_photos bucket) and travel document PDFs (trip_files bucket).

Retention & Exceptions

GatherBiz does not retain personal identifiers after account deletion. Anonymized transaction and audit records may be retained strictly as required to comply with statutory accounting or fraud prevention legal obligations in Singapore. Residual database backup archives are permanently overwritten within 30 days.
